History[]

White Fog Canyon Arc (Chapter 412 to 460)[]

When news of the transformation of the map was known, several Guilds who were operating in the White River City region deployed their forces (with the large guilds coming prepared: Zero Wing with 500 players, Overwhelming Smile with 6,000, Emperor's Light with 2,000, Assassin's Alliance with 2,000, and Ouroboros with 3,000).

When Shi Feng met up with the team stuck in the Final Cave, Fire Dance had found a Dark-Gold Treasure Chest. As he prepared to use the Seven Luminaries Key to open the chest, he felt a sense of danger and made preparations. When he open the cheast, he found the Icarus's Heart inside but also set off the trap. A light-blue magic barrier had appeared and trapped him within, while a Lord ranked Earthen Puppet appeared. He immediately swapped places with his doppelganger which was waiting 40 yards away and escaped the trap.

After identifying the Icarus's Heart and finding out the evolution condition, Shi Feng formulated a plan to kill the 16 Flame Guards blocking the entrance and sole exit of the Final Cave. He activated Divine Providence for each kill and accumulated a total of 286 pieces of items and gears from it (105 rare materials, 9 pieces of Warfire Set Equipment, 41 Level 25 Mysterious-Iron equipment, 53, Level 25 Secret-Silver equipment, 29 Level 25 Fine-Gold equipment, 18 pieces of recipes and forging designs, 15 Tier 1 Magic Scrolls, 4 Tier 2 Magic Scrolls, and 12 Treasure Hunting Scrolls). The entire party also benefitted in levels with some of them reaching Level 26 while Shi Feng reached Level 24. Following that the team used the Treasure Hunting Scrolls and were able to over 15,000 Starfire Ore, 7,000 other ores and more Level 25 equipment from killing 22 other Lords under the influence of Divine Providence.

During the time that Shi Feng and party had been in the Land of the Fallen Star, even more players had started to flood the map in search for the Warfire Set Equipment. These players had already reached Level 20 and higher and were capable of grinding in the outer region. The story zooms in on Virtuous Cloud's party who had managed to obtain two pieces of the Warfire Set Equipment but were surrounded by a large group of Red Names who wanted to kill them and steal their loot. However, before both sides could take action, Shi Feng's party appeared in between them. Hestitation came upon the group of Red Names as they saw Shi Feng's party's higher level but one of them identified Black Flame and mentioned that Overwhelming Smile had set a bounty of for him. Any clues of Black Flame's location was worth 10,000 Credits, and another 300,000 Credits would be given upon their arrival and Black Flame was still in the vicinity. As the Red Names reported his location, Virtuous Cloud suggest that both parties combined their powers to escape. However, to her horror, Blackie and the rest were claiming the lives of the Red Names for the opportunity to practice their skills under the new combat system. As both sides took action, Fire Dance immediately appeared next to Cold Laughter, the only expert of the Red Names, and combo-ed him to death. The rest of the party swiftly took care of the remaining Red Names.

Following the fight, Shi Feng bought the parts from Virtuous Cloud and was able to complete a set of Warfire Set Equipment and gave it to Fire Dance who upgraded it to the Mysterious-Iron rank. She also traded the other piece for pieces of Level 20 Secret-Silver equipment to improve her party's power. As both parties headed towards the exit of the map, they were blocked by two thousand members of Overwhelming Smile. In his current Weakened state from using the Double Berserk state to fight the Anubis’s Gatekeeper in the Land of the Fallen Star, so he looked for a gap to lead his party to escape. Youlan used a Tier 3 Dead Zone Magic Scroll as insurance to kill Black Flame. Summer Sunshine was tasked with dealing with Black Flame while the rest of the members were focused on surrounding and preventing their escape. Fire Dance and Flying Shadow was able to break Overwhelming Smile's formation and caused a massacre. Due to the effect of Dead Zone, none of the guild's magical class players were able to cast their spells and even healing spells were prevented. When Summer Sunshine emerged from the crowd to deal with Black Flame, Shi Feng got the party to leave before he dealt with him.

The fight between Black Flame and Summer Sunshine was intense, with Shi Feng being in a constant disadvantage as his attributes were reduced by 80%. Both parties exhibited several of their trump cards, but before their fight was concluded, the Anubis’s Gatekeeper emerged near them and disrupted their fight. The members of Overwhelming Smile switched their focus to the gatekeeper but were overwhelmed in its first attack, forcing them to retreat. The Zero Wing members were able to escape and logged out to escape from the gatekeeper. It was stated that the gatekeeper continued to roam the map and used spells of mass destruction to kill players, which made the map become a forbidden land and no longer a treasure trove.
