It is ineffective on NPCs and Players who have obtained at least the Void Realm in the Realms of Refinement, as they are able to take in all the information in the area around them. It is also ineffective against monsters that don't need their sight to identify prey, a good example of this would be undead creatures, who can sense lifeforce.
