First mentioned in chapter 599, when Shi Feng returned to District 5 in the Dark Den where Great Demon Knettel used it on Discipline Paradise and many other players as a consequence of failing in his Legendary Quest: Lord of Balrog's Fall. [1]In chapter 854, it was mentioned once again when Shi Feng was affected by a silver flame that was thrown by a mysterious NPC youth.
Description[]
Soul Fire is a type of Mysterious Flames capable of causing great damage to players, inflicting severe death penalties. The flame can be categorized into two types: Black Destruction and Silver Creation. [2]
- Black Destruction can be used to destroy the souls of other creatures, if it is used on a player, they will receive a heavy injury and their character would be reset to Level 0.
- Silver Creation might not be as powerful offensively, but it can be used to alter and mend souls.
When a player absorbs a Soul Fire with the Silver Creation characteristics, they will experience a calming sensation that soothes the mind and allow it to enter a state of absolute calm, with the side effect of seeing the world in shades of silver and white. When a player gains a better control of the Silver Creation Soul Fire, they will unlock more abilities of the Soul Fire and also slow down the weakening effect.[3] For example, when Shi Feng's Soul Fire had absorbed two Tier 3 Mysterious Flames, the Soul Cleansing ability was unlocked, which helped to improve his Concentration hidden attribute.
Soul Fire Ranks[]
There were six tiers of Soul Fire. Tier 1 was the Weakest, while Tier 6 was the Strongest. Soul Fire also existed in different types, and Tier 6 Soul Fire came in various levels of strength.
However, even Basic Tier 6 Soul Fire, the weakest of the bunch, could incinerate a Tier 6 player’s Immortal Soul in seconds. As for powerful Tier 6 Soul Fire, also known as Advanced Tier 6 Soul Fire, they could impart permanent death to players and render useless resurrection items that could give players a second chance at God’s Domain.
