History[]

When Shi Feng went to seek Lord Weissman's advice, he was informed that he wasn't ready, and had to be a Tier 3 player in order to complete the quest. The magical array carved onto the Elemental Core was a map and a key, and the location indicated was the Top of the World, Mount Sogar.[1]

After making preparations, Shi Feng heads to Mount Sogar using the Tier 4 Position Teleportation Scroll he had previously acquired, allowing him to forego the strenuous experiences and dangers of traveling there on land.[2]

Using the teleportation scroll, he arrives at a snow-covered forest in the outer region of Mount Sogar. While exploring, he discovers that the monsters there have high defense and travelled in groups. This coupled with the harsh environment that put a strain on his stamina made it difficult to travel on his own.[2]

On his way up the mountain, in order to avoid a group of patrolling level 50 monsters, he enters a small cave that was nearby and discovers a Secret Silver Treasure Chest that was guarded by a magical trap. Among the items he acquires from the Secret Silver Treasure Chest, he obtains a Tier 3 Magic Amplification Scroll which is able to upgrade the Tier of a skill by 1 Tier up to a maximum of Tier 3 which could be used 30 times with a 1 hour cooldown.[3] Using the Magic Amplication Scroll with the Bible of Darkness, he eventually summons and controls two Level 51 Tier 3 Demons to help him explore the mountain while also grinding levels and equipment.[4]

With the aid of the two Tier 3 Demons, Shi Feng eventually discovers a pair of massive locked doors near the top of Mount Sogar. Engraved runes decorated the stone doors and black chains bound them, each chain giving off a faint pressure of Divine Might. The doors were guarded by a Level 55 Great Lord ranked Ferocious Beast, the Nine-headed Magic Snake.[5] Using the two Tier 3 Demons and his doppelganger skill, Shi Feng manages to fend off the Nine-headed Magic Snake just long enough for him to undo the chains on the door, insert the Elemental Core into the circular indented slot on the door, and unlock it.[6] Fortunately, the Nine-headed Magic Snake was the door's guardian beast, and if the stone doors opened, the guardian dies. With the stone doors open, the system notifies him that he has opened the Blood Refining Passage. He gains no experience from the death of the Nine-headed Magic Snake, since he didn't kill it. However, he obtains the item drops which includes an Epic Rank dagger and a quest item, the Blood Refining Stone.[7][8]

Entering the Blood Refining Passage, Shi Feng finds a long and narrow passageway with numerous blood-red runes carved into the walls that radiated a faint Divine Might that suppress him. The door of the passageway closes after he enters, preventing him from leaving without giving up the quest by using a Return Scroll. Level 50 Elite Rank and above Undead monsters wander the passage, and he realizes that the passage prevents him from using any of his skills. Relying on his sword techniques, he overpowers the monsters by targeting their joints and other vital points, allowing him to slowly grind EXP. After defeating the first pair of monsters that he encounters, he discovers that collecting the Blood Energy dropped from the monsters with the Blood Refining Stone might be crucial to his quest's completion. So, he continues to grind the monsters, meanwhile improving his sword techniques as he engages the monsters in battle.[8]
