First mentioned in chapter 3274 (ch. 348 of Sequel), when Shi Feng shared the dark-purple pendant’s stats with Midsummer and Wu Xiaoxiao. The FrostFlame Phantom Dragon might be called a dragon, but it wasn’t a real dragon. Instead, it was a Tier 4 dragon-shaped Ancient Beast. [1]
In chapter 3517 (ch. 591 of the Sequel), Shi Feng upgraded his Mutated Frostflame Phantom Dragon into a true Tier 5 Dragon. It was than upgraded into a Tier 6 Sacred Dragon on ch.861 (see Frostflame Sacred Dragon - Advanced Divine Flying Mount).
TL Notes: Please regard all instances of "Divine Dragons" in the main story as "Sacred Dragons" from now on.[2]
Original Version[]
In terms of Life Ratings, it was only slightly stronger than the average Archaic Species. It couldn’t even compete against four-winged Valkyries, let alone true Dragons.

Ancient Oath- Summoning Pendant
[Ancient Oath] [1][]
Appearance; dark-purple pendant.
- Can be used to summon a Legendary-rank Frostflame Phantom Dragon as a partner to fly and fight freely in the sky.
- If the Frostflame Phantom Dragon dies, it will need 25 natural days to return to life.
It also had:
- 25% success rate of getting promoted to Tier 5.
- 5% success rate of getting promoted to Tier 6.
Mutated Version[]
Shi Feng upgraded the Ancient Oath using 10 Time Crystals, resulting in a mutated variant. The next upgrade will cost 50 Time Crystals.[1]
Appearance; dark-purple pendant shrouded by white flames.[1]
In God’s Domain, mutated monsters were generally two ranks stronger than their normal counterparts. Since the Frostflame Phantom Dragon was a Basic Legendary Flying Mount, its mutated version would be an Advanced Legendary Flying Mount.
In terms of Life Ratings, the Mutated Frostflame Phantom Dragon was already comparable to six-winged Valkyries.
[Ancient Oath] [3][]
- Can be used to summon a Legendary-rank Mutated Frostflame Phantom Dragon as a partner to fly and fight freely in the sky.
- If the Mutated Frostflame Phantm Dragon dies, it will need 30 natural days to return to life.
- Mutation Effect - Grants the Ancient Oath’s wielder 10% of the Mutated Frostflame Phantom Dragon’s Basic Attributes.
It also had:
- 60% success rate of getting promoted to Tier 5.
- 15% success rate of getting promoted to Tier 6.
It was vastly superior to Basic Legendary Flying Mounts in regards to promotion sucess rate.
A Tier 5 Mutant was strong enough to hold its ground against even Tier 6 players. Thus, so long as Shi Feng promoted the Mutated Frostflame Phantom Dragon to Tier 5, he’d immediately have a Tier 6 combatant at his command. [3]
Participations[]
The Mutated Frostflame Phantom Dragon did his first public appearance in chapter 3303 (ch. 377 of Sequel), when Shi Feng summon it in the World Passage of the Miniature Ancient World.
In chapter 3363 (ch. 437 of Sequel), Shi Feng summoned the Mutated Frostflame Phantom Dragon to help raiding a Regional Boss in the Eternal Realm. On that occasion, it's status panel showed:
[Mutated Frostflame Phantom Dragon] (Legendary Flying Mount, Tier 4)
- Level 135
- HP 5,000,000,000
Tier 4 Legendary Flying Mounts stood at the apex among Tier 4 existences of the same level. An attack from such a mount could deal damage in the millions, even to a Tier 5 Legendary monster. [4]
However, in the Eternal Realm the Mutated Frostflame Phantom Dragon dealed the pitiful amount of over 400.000 damage to a Superior Mythic monster, even using physical attacks nearing the Tier 5 standard.
