First mentioned in chapter 1193 when the players from Flower of Seven Sins were attacking Shi Feng and Passing Monarch's fleet at Demon Island.
Description[]
Demon Players are players who have accepted the race-change quest to a Demon and are able to serve a Demon King and complete quests for them while accumulating reputation and contribution points.[1]
A Demon player has to constantly hunt for player souls, otherwise, they will grow weaker. The more souls they harvest, the stronger they would become. They normally start as Low Demons, and as they accumulate more player souls, they will gain more power and become a High Demon.[2]
Players who die at the hands of a Demon Player will lose a minimum of three levels and be barred from the game for at least one day. [3]
Benefits[]
Once a player becomes a Demon, they receive an ability to undergo a Demon Transformation. When they are in a Demon Form, they receive an increase to their Basic Attributes (except the Endurance Attribute) by about 15% depending on their class. They also receive a massive boost to their HPs and their Life Ratings are increased by roughly 15%, equal to a half-tier improvement as a Tier 1 player. [4] Players in their Demon Form are not able to use Berserk Skills. [5] Demons have high innate Magic Resistance, especially their Darkness Resistance. [6] They also have incredible innate perception. [7]
A Demon Player's appearance also changes when they undergo Demon Transformation. Their skin becomes pitch-black and their eyes turn blood red. Two curved horns grow out of his head while a pair of pitch-black bat wings and a tail grew from his back. They are not able to fly but are capable of hovering a short distance above the ground.
High Demons will receive the same benefits except that the boost to Physique and Basic Attributes are 5% higher. [8] When they undergo Demon Transformation, they get two pairs of bat wings instead.
Consequences [9][]
Due to being a Demon, they will become humanity's enemy. If they are captured by NPCs, they will suffer unimaginable consequences. If a player hands over a Demon player, they will receive an abundant reward.
They would also have a higher difficulty in their tier promotion quest as it is different from those of humans. They also have a severe Death Penalty as well. They would lose at least three levels for each death and be barred from the game for two to three days. They would also lose one Demon rank.
Demon Nobles and Benefits[]
For Demon Players who have achieved great accomplishment in their quests, they would get the chance to be promoted to a Demon Noble, which is similar to the noble ranks in the NPC Cities and Towns. The lowest rank of Demon Nobles is Baron. [10]
On top of receiving higher rank quests, Demon nobles are given a chance to enter the World Summit after accumulating sufficient contribution points and a payment of 1,000 Magic Crystals, and there is a cooldown of three days.
Their Demon Transformation is stronger than other Demon Players. They receive a 30% increase to both their Attributes and Physique, which allows a Tier 1 player to be equal to a Tier 2 player. They also grow 3 pairs of bat wings, which allow them to hover. Their Defense and Magic Resistance are enhanced as well. They also have a hidden benefit in their Skill Completion Rate. [11]
