First mentioned in chapter 1984, when Shi Feng noticed that the Auction House at White River City had been upgraded.
In Chapter 2050, there was a System Announcement that a total of 100 NPC Cities had been promoted and their Auction House upgraded, allowing for the Auction Arena System to be activated. [1]
Description
Once the Auction Arena System was activated, the Auction House would hold a competition each day. The Auction House would offer various rare items as prices during these competitions, such as top-tier weapons, equipment, and tools. Players are only required to pay the entry fee to take part.
The competition has two phases:
- The first phase is a test the system decided.
- The second phase involved a battle between players. Players would be evenly distributed onto five separate, spacious battlefields and fight for the Energy Crystals that dropped from the sky.[2]
Auction House Management Rights Auction Arena
The Auction Arena System is related to management rights of the Auction House of the corresponding promoted NPC cities.[3] All NPC cities with Auction Arenas would hold the competition for the management rights at the same time, once a month. This prevents the various superpowers, who had an absolute advantage in terms of resources and experts, from monopolizing every NPC city in the game.[4]
Securing the management rights of an Auction House would give players a substantial level of control in NPC cities and allow them to manipulate the city's economy.[5] Moreover, they would be granted the ability of banning certain players or Guilds from the Auction House.[6] The Auction management rights could be secured by Guilds, Dark Forces, Adventure Teams and even Solo players. When an NPC city is controlled it is far more difficult for a rival power to spread their influence throughout the city. Moreover, after taking control, one would secure a certain percentage from the Auction House transactions. The higher a city's player population is, the more profits the controlling party could earn from the Auction House transactions.[7]
The Auction Arena's competition tested players' combat standards and but mostly their resources.[8] Equipment past Fine-Gold rank would be temporarily frozen at Fine-Gold rank. To remove the seal and improve one's equipment rank, players had to use Epic ranked materials.[9]
In order to enter the Auction House during the day of this event, the player needs to carry one piece of Epic material.[10]
- Participation costs one piece of Epic material per Player.[11]
- Unlocking all equipment to Dark-Gold Rank costs 5 Epic materials.[12]
- Unlocking a single item to Epic Rank costs 3 Epic materials.[13]
